When to use this template
Use this template after preparing any tooth for a full-coverage indirect restoration — single-unit crown, onlay, or 3/4 crown. Works for zirconia, PFM, e.max, gold, and full-porcelain crowns. The template includes the indication (large restoration, fractured tooth, post-RCT, etc.), bite-registration step, retraction cord pack, impression material, and temporary fabrication and cementation. Adjust the bracketed fields for your specific tooth, material, shade, and impression workflow (digital scan vs. PVS vs. alginate).
Tips for using this template
- check_circleDocument the indication explicitly (large restoration, fractured tooth, post-RCT, cracked tooth) — this supports the medical necessity for crown coverage.
